In this article I'm going to tell you how to make a solar panel for your home. Having a solar panel installed in your home has many benefits. Not only are you doing your bit to save the world but having the solar panel in your home will also cut your electricity bills substantially.
Solar panels work because they are made up of many photovoltaic cells convert sun light in to electricity. These contain crystalline silicon, the silicon crystals glisten on the surface of the cells. On the cells you also have thin strips of metal which act as conductors. This is how the solar energy is converted in to electricity.
Iron Solder
Once you have your photovoltaic cell you need to apply a soldering flux on each module, you can do this by attaching it with a soldering iron. Now you must clean each cell in water at around 60 degrees Celsius, no higher. Once you have your clean cells, your now ready to assemble your solar panel.
You now need to apply a long thin piece of conducting metal connecting all your cells. You are now ready to assemble. You'll need a transparent clear piece of glass to provide stability for your cells. On the reverse side i would recommend a hard plastic to again aid stability.
